The Bookstore

The Friends Bookstore hours are 10am-5pm; Monday-Saturday.

The Bookstore is managed by the Friends of Gulf Gate Library. The bookstore sells newer and gently used items and sponsors book discussion groups, summer reading programs, library events, author visits, and library volunteer programs.

Without your support, the Friends of the Library would not be able to donate monies to the Sarasota Library System to buy new books, CDs, DVDs, audio-books, and  e-books for the collection; to buy more furniture for our library; computers for our computer lab; and pay for all the children, teen, and adult educational and entertaining programs.

Below is a list of what types of materials the bookstore accepts and sells:
- Current best sellers reasonably priced
- Audio Books
- Magazines from the past 2 years
- Fiction and Non-Fiction Books
- Music CDs
- DVD, Blu-Ray 

The Friends Bookstore accepts cash or checks for your purchases and is always happy to give you a receipt for tax purposes.

We appreciate all the donations that you have made in the past and we hope you will continue to do so in the future.  Your donations have helped the Friends of the Library make our library the attractive and useful library that it is.

Gulf Gate Library was organized under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, all donations and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
