Friends of the Library needs:
The Friends of the Gulf Gate Library needs your help to meet all the needs of our community. And there are so many volunteer opportunities. So please think about the things you like to do (or want to learn), and we’ll help you find a way to shine using your talents!
Do you like to write?
There are several ways to use your writing skills to help the library. You can write articles for the newsletter, help design grant applications, do copy for posters and letters, write publicity releases for the newspaper, and more.
Do you like to get out to various parts of the community and meet people?
We’ve got ways to do that too! You can be an ambassador for the library, speaking to groups all over the community, or work on fun events with the Fundraising Committee.
Do you like to work behind the scenes at home or with a small group?
We’ve got you covered! Join the newsletter team to write articles, or do layout in MS Publisher, make calls for events, do graphic design for posters, or any of the many tasks that help make our events such a success.
You don’t need to be a whiz.
You just need to want to help, to be willing to pitch in a little or a lot. Do what works for you. Do what you love or learn to love something new. The Friends of the Gulf Gate Library have many volunteer opportunities for you…some require just a little time; some need a little more. Some can be done from the comfort of your home; some get you out and about…in other words, we have something to fit everyone.
